Fresh, Organic, Local Vegetables and Fruits

We are extremely lucky to live in an area with a plethora of local organic farms and good farmers' markets. My favorite farmers' markets include: the Tuesday and Saturday markets in Berkeley run by the Ecology Center (ecologycenter.org/bfm/); and the Tuesday and Saturday markets in San Francisco run by CUESA (cuesa.org); and the Thursday and Sunday Marin markets at the Civic Center.

For those who have a hard time getting to farmers' markets - try ordering a CSA (community supported agriculture) box from one of the wonderful local farms who offer this:

Other sources for local, organic produce include Rainbow Grocery in SF; Berkeley Bowl and Monterey Market in Berkeley, and El Cerrito and Berkeley Natural Grocery stores.
